Tell your friends to sign the appeal
Culture and the arts make everyday life in our city an exceptional experience. In order to sustain our vibrant cultural community, we need to end the decline in city funding for culture. We must tell our future city leaders to dedicate one percent of the municipal expense budget to culture.
In order to do that, we need your friends to help.

New York City's 1,300 plus cultural organizations and thousands of artists are essential to the economy and identity of the city, creating more than 120,000 jobs and generating $8.1 billion in economic activity. And yet, nonprofit culture receives less than one-fourth of one percent of the overall city expense budget.
Sign the appeal and tell future city leaders: culture is worth one percent of the city expense budget.
